AMEND Pregnancy Loss Support Group

For over 50 years, AMEND Pregnancy Loss Support Group has been part of the Tampa Bay community, offering support to parents who have experienced the devastating loss of a baby.
Our group welcomes parents who have experienced an early miscarriage, a full-term stillbirth, or the loss of a baby within the first month after birth. We believe the goal of grief support is not to fix broken hearts, but to create a place where parents never have to hide them. Here, parents can share, grieve, and connect with others who understand this unique kind of loss. You do not have to walk through pregnancy loss alone, and you are welcome to attend at any point in your grief journey.
Pregnancy loss affects both parents, yet fathers' grief is often unseen or overlooked. At AMEND, we believe every parent's loss matters. Led by Jaci (Perinatal Mental Health Therapist, RCSWI) and David, who have experienced pregnancy loss themselves, the group offers support and understanding for both mothers and fathers.
Please contact Jaci at jaci10perez@gmail.com. Meetings will be held on the 3rd Wednesday of the month, at 7pm. We have an email list and private facebook group, for event announcements, so please check there or contact one of us, before coming.

Open Book Series: Author Talk & Panel Conversation

We love to emphasize reading as a church community and feel passionately about how that expands our imaginations as humans and believers, and we want to create a space of discussion toward practically living like Christ.

Join us on Saturday, September 19th at 6:30pm at Watermark Church in our Gathering Room, we will be joined by authors Joash Thomas, Jared Stacy, and Tommy Phillips who will give a brief intro on wrestling with theological orthopraxy, or Christian practices, in the books they wrote.

We will then have a discussion panel and Q+A. Read the books ahead of time or buy them at the event, and bring your questions and thoughts about living your life in peace, truth, and justice.

Please RSVP below. If you have any questions email missions@watermarktampa.com

The Sacred Work of Preaching: Conversations with Women Pastors

Join Northern Seminary's Center for Women in Ministry on August 12 at noon (CT) for The Making of a Woman Preacher, an inspiring online conversation featuring Christine Caine, Tara Beth Leach, Rev. Dr. Gail L. Rice, and Aimee Tucker. Together, these remarkable women will share the experiences that have shaped their ministries, strengthened their voices, and sustained them through the joys and challenges of preaching.

During this conversation, we'll explore:
- How they first discerned God's call to preach

- How they developed their unique voices and honed the craft of preaching

- How they persevered through seasons of challenge, growth, and faithful obedience

Whether you're discerning a call to ministry, already serving in church leadership, or simply looking to be encouraged by the stories of faithful women, this conversation will offer wisdom, practical insight, and hope for your own journey.

We hope you'll join us for this meaningful conversation as we celebrate how God continues to raise up women to proclaim His Word with courage, humility, and conviction.

HOPE Celebration & Potluck

2026 HOPE Celebration!

Please join us, Tuesday, June 16th at Mt. Calvary Seventh-Day Adventist Church (4902 N 40th St, Tampa, FL 33610). Food and fellowship will begin at 6:30p and the Celebration will call to order at 7p. The Celebration is a potluck-- so you are welcome to bring a dish, dessert, or drinks to be shared in fellowship with others.

Together, we will celebrate a powerful Nehemiah Action, give out awards, hear updates from our issue committees, and take financial ownership to continue our justice work. We will also be welcoming Congregation Schaarai Zedek and Mount Olive Missionary Baptist Church into HOPE membership!

If you haven't already, be sure to connect with your Network Members to invite them to the Celebration and to invite them to invest.

Summer Reading List

Join us this summer as we read together in anticipation of welcoming guest speakers Joash P. Thomas and Liz Charlotte Grant this fall with our Watermark Summer Reading List.

This curated reading list is a simple way to stay connected and grow over the summer months. Featured on the list are books from our upcoming speakers, along with several written by members of our own Watermark community—people you may see each week.

How to participate:

  • Choose a book (or a few!) from the list

  • Purchase using the link below or borrow a free copy from our church library

  • Read at your own pace throughout the summer
