A Note for White Allies

• As Christians, we are called to be on the side of truth

• We must humble ourselves

• We must allow ourselves to learn from and be led by Black and indigenous POC

• We must listen to understand, educating ourselves on the role the church has played in systemic racism

• We must fight our urge to defend ourselves or our position and allow ourselves to be transformed

• We must confess and lament our collective history of racism

• Pray that we are known for our repentance

• Christianity calls us to community and not individualism, seeking to engage in agapic, sacrificial love

• We are called to bear witness to the hero: King Jesus. This ensures that we are never the hero of the story or situation

• This maturation process requires correction, and we must be open to receiving correction

• Never underestimate the power of extending your privilege through your finances
