FCAHT Donation Drive

Sun, February 26, 2012

Florida Coalition of Human Trafficking is a locally-based 501(c)(3) organization that serves human trafficking victims internationally and domestically. The organization works closely with local law enforcement agencies to provide victims with emergency food and shelter, medical and psychological treatment and other services as needed to help these individuals restore their lives and their freedoms. FCAHT have asked us as a community to assist them in obtaining donations law enforcement can offer to recovered sex trafficking victims in the Tampa Bay area. Often times, the girls are rescued off the street and have nothing but the clothes on their back when they go into victim assistance. Law enforcement hopes that by providing these bags to victims, they can establish a bond of trust. As a community, our intention is to provide hope to these victims and a glimpse of God's love as they begin their journey to restoration.

Please include the following in the recovery bags:
The bag itself (a reusable grocery bag, backpack, duffle bag)
Deodorant
Toothpaste & toothbrush
Hairbrush
New sweatpants of any size (I found a pair for $5 at Target)

The recovery bag drive will be Sunday, February 26th and Sunday, March 4th. Please leave your bag in the basket near the welcome counter just below the house church sign.

Thank you for your help us as we join the fight against human trafficking!
